On January 10th, 2024, Earth Angels Kemmannu (EAK) commemorated its first anniversary with a joyous and inspirational event held at the parish grounds of St. Theresa's Church, Kemmannu. The celebration was a resounding success, marked by vibrant performances, heartfelt speeches, and a renewed sense of purpose for the organization.

A Night Filled with Entertainment and Inspiration

The evening commenced with a delightful musical performance, setting the tone for a night of celebration. This was followed by a captivating dance performance by the energetic ICYM/YCS Youth members, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. The dynamic women of the parish added a touch of cultural grace with a beautiful traditional dance performance, further enriching the program. Mrs. Veronica Cornelio served as the esteemed host for the evening, guiding the program with elegance and warmth.

A Moment to Reflect and Acknowledge

The celebratory performances were followed by a more formal stage program. The program was graced by the presence of several esteemed dignitaries, including our parish priest, Rev. Fr Philip Neri Aranha; our previous parish priest, Rev. Fr Victor D'souza; the Founder of EAK, Mr. Alfred Crasto; The President Mr. Thomas D'souza; The secretary, Mrs. Suzy Fernandes; and committee member Mr. Arun Fernandes.

Mr. Thomas D'souza extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the entire gathering, setting a welcoming ambiance for the program. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, a symbolic act signifying the illumination of knowledge and the dispelling of darkness.

Mrs. Suzy Fernandes then took center stage, delivering a comprehensive overview of the organization. She shed light on EAK's mission and its accomplishments in its first year. Her presentation included a detailed financial report, outlining the organization's income from donations, membership fees, and contributions used to support the underprivileged in the community.

Looking Forward, Together

Following Mrs. Fernandes's insightful presentation, the esteemed dignitaries addressed the audience. Their inspiring words resonated with the audience, reaffirming the importance of EAK's mission and its positive impact on the community.

A significant highlight of the program was the inauguration of the official Earth Angels Kemmannu website. This website will serve as a vital platform for the organization to connect with the community, share information about its activities, and inspire others to join their cause.

Welcoming New Members and Expressing Gratitude

The program also included a heartwarming ceremony welcoming new members to the EAK family. Mr. Alfred Crasto, the organization's founder, extended a warm welcome to the new members, presenting them with complimentary shirts as a token of appreciation. He also delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude to all those who have contributed to EAK's success.

An Evening of Laughter and Camaraderie

The formal stage program concluded on a high note, paving the way for an evening of lighthearted entertainment. The award-winning comedy group "Bale telupule" from Kapu took the stage, captivating the audience with their side-splitting humor.
