Raju B. Thonse: A Final Curtain Call with Dignity

Raju B. Thonse was once a star of the Tulu stage—a dramatist, writer, director, and actor whose passion for theatre touched the lives of many. But in his final chapter, he found himself in deep distress—alone, unwell, and forgotten by many.

After his plight was highlighted by Dhanu Vlogs to raise some support and funds for him, EAK also stepped forward to support this brother from our home town

In October 2024, thanks to the heartfelt efforts of Veronica Cornelio, Raju was admitted to the hospital for the first time. She even helped clean and prepare his home so he had a hygienic space to return to and recover.

But by March this year, his condition worsened. Veronica Madam once again stepped forward to admit him, arranging for care and comfort during his most vulnerable days. Sadly, Raju's health continued to decline.

Throughout this time, Earth Angels Kemmannu members rallied together—some through organised funds, others through personal contributions—to support his treatment and needs. We are deeply grateful to every member who stepped in with love, time, and generosity.

On April 25, 2025, Raju B. Thonse passed away peacefully. He may have left this world, but he did not leave it unseen or unloved. He had a dignified farewell, and we at EAK are proud to have done our small part.

We cannot undo life’s hardships, but we can show up for those who need us—just as we did for Raju.
